Born and raised in Minnesota, I grew up in Mankato and currently reside in Apple Valley with my lovely wife and newly purchased puppy.  I attended St. John's University for my degree in Biology and attended Minnesota State University for my teaching license and M.A.T.  In my spare time I enjoy traveling with my wife, being with my friends, golfing, hunting, and fishing.

My philosophy of teaching is to help students become more aware and interested in the natural world around us.  I want for students to appreciate the human ability to observe the natural world and appreciate the ability we have to experiment and answer questions about the natural world.  What I love about teaching is the dynamic environment, the learning opportunities it presents me, and the opportunity to influence and help students during these important years of their lives.
